The Assistant Human Resources Director should have HR Generalist knowledge, and be versed in the areas of benefits, workforce planning, recruitment and staffing strategies, wage and salary administration, Colleague and labor relations, workforce training and development, Worker's Compensation, safety compliance, Dimensions Payroll processing, and local diversity initiatives. This highly visible role assists in short- and long-term planning of the HR function and is heavily involved in executing the HR initiatives.

The ideal candidate will also possess high-level leadership, organization, and time-management skills. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a welcoming and engaging personality are a must. The Assistant Human Resources Director will represent the HR team and Hyatt brand in a friendly and positive manner in all interactions.

Hyatt develops Assistant Directors to progress into the role of a Director of Human Resources.

Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional presentation skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent HR experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Hospitality Human Resources Generalist experience
  • Multi-system proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint)
  • Bi-lingual/Spanish preferred
