Position Summary

As a Government Inside Sales Representative for our cutting-edge public safety solutions, you will play a crucial role in achieving our ambitious goals for new agency acquisitions and revenue growth in the B2G (Business-to-Government) sector. You must be comfortable making numerous calls daily to generate interest, qualify prospects, and collaborate with sales partners in closing deals within the public safety community. We are seeking a talented and competitive Government Inside Sales Representative who thrives in a dynamic B2G sales environment and is passionate about developing new business relationships with public safety agencies. This position report to the Sr. Manager Government Inside Sales for the Field Forensics Division.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Prospecting, Qualification and Opportunity Creation
    • Conduct prospecting for targeted law enforcement market segments.
    • Meet a quota to nurture new and existing leads to the sales qualified lead (SQL) level.
    • Identify and engage with key decision-makers within customer accounts.
    • Strive to exceed targets by creating additional quality SQL leads.
  1. Product Demonstration Management
    • Meet a quota of scheduling product demonstrations.
    • Ensure customer readiness and willingness to participate in demonstrations.
    • Strive to exceed targets by scheduling additional demonstrations when possible.
  1. Sales Pipeline Management
    • Support field sales to help convert opportunities into sales.
    • Maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities.
    • Regularly update the CRM system with accurate and timely information.
  1. Product Knowledge and Presentation
    • Maintain knowledge of company products, services, and value propositions.
    • Effectively communicate product benefits and features to potential customers.
    • Tailor presentations and demonstrations to address specific customer needs.
  1. Event Support and Participation
    • Actively participate in and support company-focused events such as workshops and webinars.
    • Leverage these events to generate new leads and increase product demonstration opportunities.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure event success and follow up on leads generated.
  1. Sales Strategy and Performance Optimization
    • Develop and implement effective strategies to increase prospect engagement
    • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
  1. Continuous Improvement
    • Seek out opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.
    • Stay updated on new sales techniques and technologies.
    • Adapt to changes in company products, policies, and market conditions.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Track record of successful business development for capital equipment.
  • Strong phone presence and experience making dozens of calls per day.
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • You are tech savvy and have advanced working knowledge of key prospecting tools including LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Proven success in cold prospecting, lead creation and opportunity qualification for capital equipment sales.
  • You are a builder, storyteller, and part of our growth trajectory.
  • Comfort in using SalesForce to support your sales process and activities.
  • Sales experience within the municipal, state and federal law enforcement market preferred.

  • The position can be remote or based full or part time in our Boston HQ
