Overview

NorthClad is a leading manufacturer and supplier of architectural metal panel systems. We specialize in high-performance pressure-equalized rainscreen systems made from aluminum, composites, zinc, copper, steel, and other metals. NorthClad is recognized for our expertise in customized metal screening and panel systems, most of which we design and manufacture in-house using state-of-the-art CNC equipment.

The National Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and growing the sales of NorthClad products across the United States. This role involves in-person and virtual meetings with key installers, contractors, architects, and other industry professionals. The manager is tasked with developing a deep understanding of our product offerings, the architectural market, and our customer base to consistently meet sales targets.

Customer Relationships and Communication

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, architects, engineers, and facility owners.
  • Communicate professionally via email, Teams, and Zoom to provide product and pricing information.
  • Regularly engage with current and prospective clients to generate sales and foster positive relationships.
  • Meet with customers and sales representatives, both in person and virtually, to offer solutions that align with clients' needs.
  • Participate in and resolving customer complaints related to products or services.
  • Represent the organization to both internal and external partners.

Sales and Estimating

  • Collaborate with sales representatives and the estimating team to provide competitive bids and close sales opportunities.
  • Document sales activities, leads, and follow-ups using Construct Connect and PipeDrive.
  • Coordinate customer requests with estimating and project management teams.
  • Perform basic take-offs in BlueBeam and prepare cost budgets.
  • Provide product/project budget pricing to customers and sales representatives.
  • Stay informed about new product launches and ensure the sales team is up-to-date.
  • Organize and oversee sales training and Lunch-and-Learn presentations.
  • Attend trade shows, conventions, and association meetings to build relationships and promote NorthClad’s products.

Market Analysis, Strategy, and Reporting

  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to develop strategies.
  • Identify emerging markets and new sales opportunities.
  • Track and analyze sales statistics and market price trends.
  • Lead and oversee the performance of the sales team.
  • Make data-informed decisions to drive performance and allocate resources effectively.
  • Achieve sales targets and drive sales objectives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team through mentorship and coaching.
  • Manage the hiring and training of new Sales Representatives.
  • Provide feedback on product needs, customer interactions, and market conditions.
  • Participate in weekly estimating and follow-up meetings.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports for management review.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience building and leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Experience with cold calling and providing cost budgets with limited information.
  • History of continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
  • Robust business sense and industry expertise.
  • Experience persuading the architectural community to adopt products.
