What You'll Do: In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to surrender life insurance policies and calculate cost basis and net gain information. You will also:

  • Respond to and resolve customer service requests in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • Operate within an administrative system to review policy information and documentation necessary to properly surrender policies and disburse loans.
  • Calculate taxable gains and cost basis on life policies that are being exchanged and/or surrendered.
  • Communicate with policy owners, agents, attorneys, businesses and others by phone and email regarding cost basis & net gain information, surrender requirements, and 1035 exchanges.

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus two years relevant experience required. Associate degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word).
  • Math and/or an accounting background is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are important in this position.
  • Ability to work from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
