Position Summary:

As an accountant at Clog Busters you’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounting and bookkeeping functions of our growing business. This role will require you to use a detail-oriented and flexible approach to manage the daily and monthly accounting and bookkeeping tasks, facilitate payroll through our external payroll provider and provide general office management. This position will also provide you with the opportunity to identify and implement improvements to our accounting and bookkeeping processes to mitigate risk and improve efficiency.

 

Work You’ll Do

  • General Ledger Management: Oversee and maintain our company’s general ledger and collaborate with our external CPA as needed.
  • Accounts Payable: Process invoices, manage the cash disbursement process, and assist in cash flow management to support the business's financial health.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors, ensure timely payments and manage vendor agreements. Negotiate payment terms and pricing with vendors to optimize cash flow.
  • Accounts Receivable: Maintain accounts receivable records and support collection efforts to ensure timely payments.
  • Payroll Management: Coordinate with our external payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to support business growth.
  • Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile accounts and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
  • Employee Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members to support our growing business.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee inquiries and foster a positive workplace environment through engagement initiatives.
  • Benefits Administration: Help manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans.
  • Compliance: Assist in maintaining compliance with labor laws, company policies, and maintain confidential employee files.

 

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • A self-directed approach that can adapt to changes

 

Qualifications:

  • Required
    • Associates degree with 4-6 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years of bookkeeping responsibilities
    • Proficient with QuickBooks
    • A strong understanding of Windows based systems and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
    • Familiarity with human resources
    • Experience with Service Titan
