Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and execute cloud migration initiatives, focusing on Azure Government cloud
  2. Manage and optimize enterprise-level data center operations for DOI
  3. Develop and implement strategies for integrating on-premises and cloud infrastructures
  4. Oversee data center utilization, performance metrics, and capacity planning
  5. Ensure compliance with federal IT regulations, security standards, and FedRAMP requirements
  6. Collaborate with multiple government agencies and stakeholders on IT infrastructure projects
  7. Manage IT resources and budgets within government constraints
  8. Provide strategic guidance on data center modernization and cloud adoption
  9. Oversee 24/7/365 support for critical data center and cloud services

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. Experience: Minimum 10 years of technical experience in data center management and cloud migration
  3. Cloud Expertise: Proven experience in Azure cloud environments, particularly Azure Government
  4. Federal IT Knowledge: Thorough understanding of DOI IT systems, FedRAMP, FISMA, and FITARA
  5. Technical Skills:
  • Enterprise data center operation and cloud service management
  • UPS systems, HVAC systems, and data center physical infrastructure
  • DCIM implementation and management
  • ITSM practices including Change, Problem, and Incident Management
  • Access Control and Video Monitoring Systems
  • NIST Special Publication 800-53 standards implementation
  • Proficiency in cloud security and compliance frameworks
  1. Government Experience: Substantial experience in federal IT contracting, preferably with DOI
  2. Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain required federal security clearance
