In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering mission-critical system support to our clients. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement a Cloud-Native Service architecture that software development teams can utilize to transition services to leverage native cloud capabilities.

This position involves direct collaboration with implementation teams, providing technical direction and prioritizing implementation tasks related to cloud solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Your role will encompass providing technical leadership and delivering innovative products, services, or a combination thereof that meet specific customer requirements. You will support the development of enterprise software solutions within AWS.

Duties will include:

  • Developing creative approaches and solutions using qualitative tools and insights from previous experiences.
  • Offering execution guidance and practical engineering support to mission teams, aligned with strategic direction from the Cloud Engineering Lead.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Applicants must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Additionally, candidates should have:

  • Experience in Cloud Technologies and infrastructure-as-code principles.
  • A solid understanding of architecting and designing enterprise cloud solutions, particularly within AWS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional project teams, including Software Development, System Engineering, Security, Compliance, and Quality Assurance.
  • Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with DevOps CI/CD technologies such as Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Docker, Confluence, Sonar Lint, and Junit.
  • Knowledge of Software Configuration Management lifecycle deliverables.
  • Experience utilizing AWS Console, CLI, and managing services to build infrastructure as code in an automated manner.

Candidates should have a BS degree with 4-15 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 2-13 years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

PREFERRED SKILLS
Ideal candidates will have:

  • A minimum of one AWS Certification from the Associate level (AWS Certified Architect Associate, AWS Certified Developer Associate, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate).
  • At least 2 years of experience with C2S.
  • Familiarity with CloudFormation.
  • Experience with serverless architectures and implementations.
  • Knowledge of big data solutions for data lake implementations (e.g., Elasticsearch).
  • Experience managing complex sponsor relationships and gathering requirements.
  • Experience with migrating workloads to the cloud.
  • The ability to provide detailed technical direction to teams for adoption.
