As a growing leader in providing systems analysis, engineering, and operational support, we seek a motivated Accounting Operations Manager to strengthen our financial team. The Accounting Operations Manager will report to the Director of Finance and fill an essential role in maintaining our financial health, as well as supporting strategic company growth through detailed financial analysis, pricing analysis, and support in implementing a new ERP platform.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and analyzing financial reports including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Maintain and update budget forecasts based on current and projected company activities.
  • Play a key role in the implementation and optimization of ERP systems to support financial operations and company growth.
  • Collaborate with the solutions team to develop cost models and pricing strategies for new services and technology-driven product sales.
  • Support financial aspects of proposal development for government and commercial contracts.
  • Work alongside the Junior Staff Accountant in managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, account reconciliations, and purchasing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with DCAA regulations and maintain standards necessary for government contracting and commercial activities.
  • Perform month-end close-out procedures.
  • Monitor interim and final indirect rates.


Preferred Education/Degree:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA or advanced degree is a plus).
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong foundation in financial reporting and cost accounting.


Preferred Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Experience in a government contracting environment.
  • Prior role in financial system transitions or ERP implementations.
  • Knowledge of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Experience in working in a job cost accounting system.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Unanet or JAMIS preferred) and financial software (QuickBooks preferred).
  • Strong understanding of DCAA accounting system compliance and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
