Financial Operations Manager

Pursuit Consulting Services is in search of a Financial Operations Manager to assume a pivotal role within the manufacturing leadership team. This position will contribute significantly to various facets of plant management while providing essential financial and operational guidance within the Frames business segment. The individual will be responsible for overseeing the month-end closing activities, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring compliance with established controls, and leading diverse financial analyses related to manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the plant manager and leadership team to enhance plant profitability.
  • Manage financial reporting, accounting, planning, and support for the Frames facility.
  • Optimize financial processes and internal controls, sharing best practices with other plant controllers.
  • Develop and refine inventory processes and procedures, including standard costing, cycle counting, and tracking.

What You Will Do:

  • Generate monthly and quarterly financial forecasts for the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements in a timely manner.
  • Guide the plant manager and team through financial performance evaluations to assess plant and business performance against forecasts and budgets.
  • Provide insights and analyses on operational metrics affecting financials, such as overtime, attrition, cost per unit, and efficiency gains/losses.
  • Lead annual and ongoing physical inventory assessments and reconciliations across financial statements and systems.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring involvement from plant and customer service leadership.
  • Guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Manage accounting operations, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure all fixed assets are capitalized or disposed of in accordance with company policies.
  • Influence decisions regarding capital project planning and return on investment analyses.
  • Drive enhancements in accounting procedures to improve controls, quality, and operational efficiencies.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven self-starter with a strong desire to learn and the capability to deliver high-quality, accurate results.
  • Effective collaboration with the Plant Manager and other key business leaders on initiatives.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to develop innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, manage multiple priorities, and drive projects to completion.
  • Established financial and analytical experience, including familiarity with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Work ethic grounded in core values: achieve greatness, act with integrity, be accountable, show respect, and demonstrate passion.

Education / Certifications Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Preference for candidates with a CPA or CMA and experience in Public Accounting.
  • 3-8 years of relevant finance and/or accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
