The Senior Director of Wholesale will be accountable for leading, coaching, engaging, and mentoring the operations & allocation team to pursue excellence and profitable growth. The Senior Director of Wholesale is an experienced sales leader who has generated significant impact through strategic and operational directions in wholesale. This role will be responsible for increasing and driving the profitable revenue of the wholesale business through the efficient and smooth running of the partnership network across the US and Canada.


This role will report to the Head of Sales (Retail + Wholesale +Travel Retail) to ensure the team’s processes, functions, and workflow, prioritize creating an elevated and profitable shopping experience for internal and external clients.


This position oversees and partners with a team of 12 people, growing, spreading and optimizing sales across the region and fostering great relationships with the internal team and department stores.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities


Key Account Management

  • Lead by example and model behavior that reflects the company’s core values.
  • Set clear goals & expectations and hold people accountable to a high standard of excellence.
  • Foster a culture focused on excellence and partnership between corporate and field.
  • Lead projects with methodology, thorough follow-up, and collaborative momentum.
  • Provide ad hoc strategical analysis and presentation to Top Management
  • Manage communication strategies and contents towards organization using different channels
  • Maintain and develop excellent relationships with the top key retail partners across the region for both brands.
  • Creative with other channels, travel retail, and independent stores
  • Experience in F&B Fragrance Beauty 100%
  • Understand how the buying teams and the department stores operate, their needs, timelines, constraints, etc.
  • Sales administration management (edi, allocation process, etc.)
  • Space and location / retail estate management
  • Trade marketing plan
  • Omnichannel approach of the Department stores (retail and e-tail such as saks.com, etc.) or Responsible for Travel Retail and entering into new Americas markets or through 3rd party
  • More maintenance than opening new doors, strategize on how to best support based on competition.
  • Ensure the wholesale doors are always presented to the highest standards.

Sales Management

  • Daily and weekly sales management
  • Flash forecast every week
  • Sell out goals by store
  • Full Understanding of department store management and opportunities to guide the team

Internal collaboration

  • With the Finance, Operations, Demand Planning, HR, etc.
  • With US CEO and HQ Paris in a Strategic and analytical mindset, with forecasts, annual budget, and 3-year strategic plan


Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in wholesale sale and operations with increasing leadership experience
  • Luxury goods experience needs experience in dept store
  • International work experience a plus
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills; can build and manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L
  • Expert Excel & Power point skills
  • Extensive experience developing & executing strategies and plans
