Job Description


Greensea IQ is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Internal Business Development Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, creating, and nurturing new business opportunities within our existing client base. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of our products/services. The Internal Business Development Specialist will work closely with various departments to achieve sales goals and contribute to the overall growth of the organization.


Responsibilities

●      Client Relationship Management:

o  Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.

o  Understand clients' needs and challenges to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

●      Market Research:

o  Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors.

o  Conduct research to identify potential business opportunities within the current client base.

●      Sales Strategy Development:

o  Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create effective strategies for business development.

o  Analyze sales data and trends to identify areas for improvement and growth.

●      Proposal and Presentation:

o  Prepare compelling proposals and presentations to pitch products/services to existing clients.

o  Customize solutions based on client needs and feedback.

●      Negotiation and Closing:

o  Engage in negotiations with clients to secure deals and maximize revenue.

o  Work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth handover of opportunities and seamless deal closure.

●      Collaboration:

o  Foster collaboration with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer support.

o  Communicate effectively to ensure alignment and coordination on business development initiatives.

●      Reporting and Analysis:

o  Provide regular reports on business development activities, successes, and challenges.

o  Analyze key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of business development strategies.

●      Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events as needed.

●      All other responsibilities as reasonably assigned.


Requirements


·        Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

·        Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, Maritime industry a plus.

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.

·        Goal-oriented with a focus on achieving targets.

·        Familiarity with CRM software and other business development tools is a plus.
