Our Ideal Candidate

This role requires 10-15% travel. The ideal candidate for the Lead Wastewater Process Engineer role is an experienced engineer with a strong technical background in wastewater treatment processes, specializing in biological treatment and MBBR technologies. The candidate should have hands-on expertise in designing, optimizing, and implementing wastewater treatment processes, and possess the ability to lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the company's leading expert on wastewater treatment processes, specializing in biological treatment and MBBR technologies. Learn and understand the Triplepoint treatment products and solutions. Stay updated on the latest advancements in wastewater treatment technology and apply expertise to develop innovative solutions for our customers.
  • Project Leadership: Lead the design, optimization, and implementation of wastewater treatment processes for our customers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful design and execution.
  • Customer Collaboration: Act as the primary technical advisor to our internal stakeholders, providing expert guidance on wastewater treatment process optimization and troubleshooting. Build strong relationships with internal sales and engineering teams and external reps, customers, engineers and operators and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
  • Process Design: Lead the development of wastewater treatment process designs tailored to our customers' needs, including process flow diagrams, mass balances, process calculations and equipment specifications. Apply engineering principles and best practices to ensure the efficient and effective treatment of wastewater within our product scope.
  • Technology Evaluation and R&D: Evaluate, recommend, and develop wastewater treatment technologies and solutions suitable for our customers' needs, including MBBR systems and other biological treatment processes. Conduct feasibility studies and technology assessments to identify the most suitable solutions for our specific needs. Be the key driver of the Wastewater Process Engineering R&D efforts.
  • Quality Assurance and Issue Resolution: Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure the reliability and performance of wastewater treatment system designs. Conduct thorough reviews of design documents and oversee commissioning and startup activities as well as troubleshooting and issue resolution as pertains to wastewater treatment processes.
  • Training and Development: Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers and team members within our manufacturing organization. Build and share your expertise and our knowledge-base to foster professional growth and development within the engineering team and entire organization.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in wastewater treatment process design and engineering.
  • Expertise in biological wastewater treatment processes, including MBBR technologies. Lagoon expertise strongly preferred.
  • A technically inquisitive engineer, experienced in research & design, product development, setting up and running pilot programs and similar innovative technology-based initiatives.
