Job Title: Retail Property Manager


Location: On-site, 651 Old Mt Pleasant Ave, Suite 110, Livingston, NJ 07039 (responsible for six retail sites with furthest being 55 miles from the office)


We are seeking a highly motivated Retail Property Manager to join our team in Livingston, NJ. In this role, you will focus on managing a retail portfolio, including large strip malls anchored by major tenants like ShopRite. You will report directly to the Director of Property Management, supporting the overall operations, management, budgeting, and tenant relations within the portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Operations Management: Conduct regular tours through the retail properties to identify and address operational issues. Ability to roll up your sleeves and handle quick fixes or escalate larger issues to the appropriate parties.
  • Budgeting and Financial Oversight: Assist in preparing and managing budgets, including operating and capital expenses. Generate and review monthly financial reports.
  • Tenant Relations: Address tenant inquiries related to lease terms, ensuring clarity and resolution while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Property Inspections: Regularly inspect properties to ensure they are well-maintained and in compliance with lease agreements.
  • Portfolio Focus: Primarily oversee large retail plazas (up to 6 properties) with a strong emphasis on commercial retail management.


Qualifications:


  • Commercial Property Management Experience: A strong background in commercial property management, with a focus on retail properties, is preferred.
  • Operational Expertise: Proven experience in managing day-to-day operations, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions effectively.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, operating expenses, and capital expenditure management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with tenants, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Retail Focus: Experience with large retail properties and an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within this sector.


This position is based at 651 Old Mt Pleasant Ave, Suite 110 Livingston, NJ 07039, with oversight responsibilities for six retail sites, with the furthest located approximately 55 miles from the office.
