Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of SaaS Sales to join the executive team. This role is pivotal in generating new lines of business as an individual contributor, with a primary focus on pharmaceutical and biotechnology accounts. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in SaaS sales within the life sciences industry and have the ability to cultivate and close enterprise deals.


Key Responsibilities:


  • New Business Development: Identify, target, and engage potential clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors to generate new lines of business.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company revenue goals and market expansion objectives.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with clients and understanding their needs.
  • Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring a high conversion rate.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to strategically position our solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product development, and customer success teams to align efforts and optimize sales strategies.
  • Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts, activity reports, and performance metrics to the executive team.



Qualifications:


  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of SaaS sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales role within the life sciences industry (pharmaceuticals or biotechnology).
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving new business and exceeding sales targets whilst selling into pharma & biotechnology accounts
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of laboratory informatics, R&D processes, and regulatory requirements in the life sciences sector.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-Motivated: Highly driven with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
