In North America, the Bosch Group has over 41,000 associates, and in the business year 2015 achieved a total of 14.1 billion euros in sales revenue. The Bosch plant has manufactured high-quality automotive products at the Charleston, SC facility for over 30 years. With a history of innovation, the plant specializes in advanced products, such as antilock braking systems, gasoline fuel injectors, and diesel fuel injectors. Our associates will run state-of-the-art automatic production equipment and technology in a clean, climate-controlled environment. These positions are long-term, with opportunities for upgrades, conversion to full-time hire, and skill training programs offered each year.

Required Education and Experience:

Essential Functions:

  • Enhance applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, bug fixing, making recommendations, and designing and implementing systems
  • Investigate and use new technologies where relevant
  • Provide written knowledge transfer material
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans according to company standards (including work instructions, control plans, PFMEA, etc.)
  • Plan and execute capital equipment (MAE) acquisition and installation, including initial justification, quotation, approval process, pre-acceptance, final acceptance, and launch management
  • Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes to meet policy deployment objectives
  • Lead daily management of process area using performance data to support production, meet targets, and derive measures to improve process performance continuously
  • Develop, maintain, and apply lean manufacturing principles (BPS) throughout the value stream concerning equipment design, selection, layouts, and material flow
  • Contribute to an engaged team environment and actively support and contribute to manufacturing team effort
  • Perform other tasks as required
