Beacon Hill's reputable client is seeking a skilled and organized Assistant HR Generalist to join their HR team. In this role, you will support various HR functions with a strong focus on payroll. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, highly organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to ensure accuracy in payroll changes, including salaries, bonuses, expenses, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Assist with timely and precise payroll updates for new hires, terminations, and pay rate adjustments.
  • Help manage the Time and Labor system to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain and organize process paperwork and employment records.
  • Work closely with leadership and HR team members to complete various HR tasks and projects.
  • Provide information to applicants about job details, benefits, duties, and other requirements.
  • Distribute and manage reminders for employee performance evaluations, ensuring timely completion
  • Coordinate and set up company events.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Travel between locations as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in human resources and payroll.
  • Experience with ATS systems and payroll processing is preferred.
  • Previous experience with Paylocity is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential information.
