Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. This role is primarily focused on HR systems and HR reporting. The ideal candidate will also provide support in employee relations and other HR activities as needed. This strategic position requires a strong background in HR functions and the ability to handle complex projects with precision and efficiency. The HR Generalist is a trusted partner to employees, managers and the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answers frequently asked questions for employees relative to standard policies, etc.
  • Ensure data integrity within HR systems and perform regular system audits
  • Provide training and support to HR staff and employees on system usage
  • Develop and maintain HR metrics, dashboards, and reports to support data-driven decision-making
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends, provide insights, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Prepare and present reports on various HR metrics to HR leadership
  • Assist in integrating HR systems and processes of acquired entities
  • Recommends improvements or changes to the current HRIS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transition and integration of HR functions
  • Provide support in employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions. Refers more complex questions to appropriate management
  • Stay current with HR trends, laws, and best practices to ensure compliance and innovation in HR processes
  • Ongoing professional development by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; participating in professional organizations
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an HR role with a focus on general HR, HR systems, and/or reporting
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Qualifications:
  • Perform detail-oriented work timely and accurately with frequent interruptions
  • Manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in data and reporting
  • Clearly conveys information and educates employees where necessary
  • Basic Human Resource principles, practices, methods, procedures, and terminology
  • Knowledge and understand of pertinent federal and state regulations as well as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and DOL requirements
  • HRIS systems and other programs intended to streamline HR processes
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including communication, patience, courtesy and compassion for employee issues
  • High degree of discretion, integrity, and trust
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
