What will be the key responsibilities of the Director of Culinary Operations at F&F?



Operations Management

  • Design, implement, and optimize SOPs to ensure efficient, scalable, and safe production processes.
  • Set, implement, and uphold standard operating procedures that ensure consistent and best handling of the product at every step of the operation. 
  • Monitor and manage kitchen budgets, labor costs, and inventory levels to achieve financial targets.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is being properly maintained, cleaned, and utilized to reduce maintenance costs. Drive the introduction of efficiency-driven equipment to the facility to meet scaled production needs.


Food Safety and Compliance

  • Identify and address opportunities for improvement in food handling, temperature control, and storage practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with all food safety regulations.
  • Craft and implement GMPs for the East Providence facilities. 
  • Implement and maintain HACCP plans and ServSafe protocols.
  • Enhance food safety training for all employees handling food. 


Culinary Leadership

  • Oversee the production and packaging teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the culinary production teams to achieve excellence in food preparation, quality and presentation.
  • Build a culture of excellence, collaboration, growth and accountability within each team.
  • Provide professional development support and growth opportunities to direct reports and other high-performing members of the team.


Qualifications

  • Proven culinary experience in large-scale food production, manufacturing experience preferred. 
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the capability to build and implement effective SOPs.
  • Expertise in food safety, with HACCP and ServSafe standards.
  • Preferred: experience implementing and upholding Good Manufacturing Practices in a food manufacturing environment. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
