Role Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager for a full-time, remote position at Kensington Mechanical. We are looking for a person who wants to be an engine of growth for our company. The Operations Manager will be responsible for:


  • Overseeing Day-to-Day Operations: Manage daily activities to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of technicians, including hiring, training, and conducting first interviews and reference checks.
  • Operational Efficiency: Optimize processes and procedures to enhance productivity.
  • Customer Outreach and Support: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive engagement.
  • Payroll Management: Handle payroll, wages, and hours management using industry-relevant software.
  • HR Management: Oversee comprehensive HR functions, including benefits administration, policy management for PTO, health insurance, and 401k.
  • Financial Management: Manage financial statements, track profitability goals, and ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and implement departmental SOPs.
  • Fleet Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of company vehicles.
  • PO and NTE Management: Manage purchase orders and not-to-exceed thresholds.
  • Software Management: Utilize Servicetitan for hours and payroll features, and manage Interplay Learning software.
  • Reputation Management: Handle review and reputation management to maintain a positive company image.


Qualifications

  • Leadership and Management Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Operations Management Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is required.
  • Industry-Relevant Software Knowledge: Proficiency in Servicetitan, Podium, QuickBooks, Interplay, Trainual, etc.
  • Organizational and Time Management: Excellent skills in organizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Independent Work Capability: Ability to work independently and remotely.
  • HVAC Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the HVAC industry is essential.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems effectively.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent skills in communication and building interpersonal relationships.
