We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Creative Assistant to provide support to our growing business. The Creative Assistant will work under the company’s Executive Assistant and will be an integral member of the team and be involved in all aspects of the business, including in the development of offshoot businesses. This role will be an amazing opportunity to gain multidisciplinary experience and get hands-on entrepreneurship mentorship and training with the company leaders.


We are looking for a candidate who possesses a proactive and can-do attitude, strong organizational and time management skills, and a keen eye and love for design. You must enjoy and be comfortable working on a diverse range of projects, willing to take initiative to solve problems, and have the ability to learn new skills quickly.


This is a hybrid position and the candidate must be able to regularly drive to various locations throughout Orange County. We are looking for a candidate who will be able to start as soon as possible.


Key Responsibilities:

As a Creative Assistant, you will support ongoing and future creative projects, taking on a variety of responsibilities. Key projects and responsibilities that are currently ongoing are as follow:


Business Development:

  • Assist with project management to ensure projects are moving forward and deadlines are met.
  • Contribute creatively by sharing ideas and collaborating with the Executive Assistant (EA), founders, and designers to maintain alignment with the brand’s identity and guidelines.
  • Support the EA and founders with ad hoc tasks related to current and future projects.


Retail:

  • Coordinate on-site photoshoots, including scheduling photographers and preparing the photo studio.
  • Assist in and eventually lead day-of photoshoots, ensuring photos align with the brand’s identity and standards.
  • Aid in image selection and oversee the finalization of photos for the retail site by liaising with photographers.
  • Review copy from the copywriter to ensure it matches the brand’s voice and identity.
  • Manage all retail site item uploads, including photos, copy, and item descriptions.


Graphic Design:

  • Create visually appealing and compelling graphic content for photos, videos, print, and social media that align with the brand’s identity and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the design and content teams to produce engaging marketing materials for online and offline campaigns.
  • Assist in developing editorial content for photos/videos, email marketing, website, and social media.


Administrative:

  • Support the EA and founder with minor administrative and bookkeeping tasks as needed.
  • Conduct research and compile data in an organized and detailed manner.
  • Conduct online research and summarize findings.
  • Handle various ad hoc administrative tasks as they arise.


Qualifications:

  • College degree required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and a regular user of social media.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is a must.
  • Familiarity with Canva is a must.
  • Familiarity with software such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Photography, videography, design, and/or sketching experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.
  • High-degree of self-motivation and resourcefulness, and able to work with minimal guidance or supervision but also open to constructive criticism and following directions.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrates an adaptable, collaborative, and positive attitude.
  • Displays a high degree of professionalism in order to maintain confidential information with discretion, deal with people tactfully, and help establish strong relationships and positive communication.
  • Technologically savvy, with the aptitude to learn new software.
  • Strong internet research skills and the ability to compile, digest, and summarize information in an organized, cogent, and aesthetically pleasing manner.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings and weekends (e.g. for vendor meetings, photography/video shoots, open houses) required.
