Hybrid Temporary Purchasing Coordinator

Our client, a prestige beauty company, is looking to hire a temporary Purchasing Coordinator to join their team in a hybrid capacity (3 days in office) in Jersey City. This is a temporary position that will begin immediately and continue for 3 months. The ideal candidate should possess a strong mindset and be proficient in the tools and processes related to purchasing.
Job Duties Include:
- Contribute to the development and execution of sourcing strategy for indirect purchasing
- Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, availability, etc.
- Conduct vendor interviews to gather information on products, services, and pricing
- Create and process purchase orders ensuring documentation accurate
- Resolve discrepancies/disputes regarding pricing, quality, and other vendor issues as they arise, and communicate issues to appropriate stakeholders
- Enter price adjustments in the ERP system
- Develop and maintain tools such as specifications, evaluation grids, market analysis reports, etc.
- Ad hoc duties as needed and assigned
Job Qualifications Include:
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing or a related field, ideally in the beauty industry
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Proven capability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation and analytical abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent planning and organizational skill
Pay: $25.31/hour
