Our client is a non-profit. They seek a temp to perm Purchasing Agent to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and send out RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs for all leasing agreements
  • Purchase housekeeping supplies, office supplies, office equipment, etc.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals and products
  • Conduct research for potential new vendors and maintain the vendor database
  • Obtain W-9s from new service vendors and submit them to the Director of Purchasing
  • Attend trade shows to learn about and stay current on trends and meet supply needs
  • Follow up on requested information, samples, requisitions, and any other information
  • Handle reconciliations of unpaid service invoices and pull & match invoices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of purchasing experience
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in Yardi and MS Office preferred
