Contracting Specialist

JOB SUMMARY: This role will be responsible for ensuring operations run smoothly with agent contracting & appointments as well as daily admin tasks of the team.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Submitting documentation required for onboarding and maintaining carrier appointments such as contracting paperwork and certifications
  • Facilitating welcome calls for newly onboarded agents to review pre-training requirements
  • Tracking onboarding progress regarding appointment confirmations and completed certifications
  • Acting as a liaison between the agent and their contracted carrier(s)
  • Data entry for agent information (contracts, appointments, hierarchy, and personal/contact information)
  • Managing the department inbox to answer questions and concerns from agents and leadership regarding onboarding, contracts, and appointments
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • At least 2-3 years of administrative office experience required
  • Previous experience in Medicare Supplement & Medicare Advantage preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to think creatively and problem solve with minimal supervision
  • Able to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced environment


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read
  • technical information, and/or use a keyboard
