We are seeking highly skilled and experienced professionals to join our team at the Texas Department of Public Safety. Key Responsibilities:- Purchasing and Contract Development: Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the needs of our agency, including researching and evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Procurement Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify procurement needs and develop plans to meet those needs, including developing and managing procurement budgets.
- Contract Management: Manage and administer contracts, including ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions, and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
- Communication and Collaboration: Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure seamless procurement processes.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1-7 years of experience in purchasing, contract development, or a related field, depending on the level of the position.
- Certifications: Certified Texas Contract Developer (CTCD) and/or Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) certifications are preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
