We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist IV to join our team at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. As a key member of our Water Quality Planning Division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective administration of contracts and grants related to environmental protection.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and serve as a liaison with other agency staff on the development of contracts and grants, including amendments, changes, and modifications.
- Develop and maintain contract and grant tracking spreadsheets/databases for reporting to upper management.
- Resolve audit exceptions by defining causes of errors and recommending appropriate dispositions.
- Provide guidance to staff regarding contract administration, policies, and procedures.
- Train junior staff and provide technical assistance to Water Quality Planning Project Managers on contract and grant procedures.
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university plus two years of full-time experience in contracting or purchasing.
- Or six years of full-time experience in contracting or purchasing.
- Must obtain the Texas Contract Manager Certification (CTCM) within twelve (12) months of hire date.
