Our client is currently hiring a Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis to join their team. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial planning and analysis function within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning. This position is essential in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making and provide insights to senior management. Analyze financial statements, identify key financial trends, and perform financial modeling.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and develop accurate financial forecasts. Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data, analyze trends, and make recommendations to optimize financial performance.
- Work closely with the executive team to develop long-term financial strategies and goals. Evaluate potential investments, assess growth opportunities, and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Prepare financial statements, management reports, and presentations for senior management and board meetings.
- Assess and manage financial risks, including identifying potential risks, developing risk mitigation strategies, and monitoring financial indicators to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of financial planning and analysis professionals. Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to team members and foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior executives, department heads, and external partners. Effectively communicate financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to support decision-making and drive business performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Finance, Economics, Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum of 7 years of finance and business analytics experience
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects
- Must be able to work with company stakeholders
- Must be able to work in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
