We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to significantly contribute to the financial oversight and strategic decision-making within the organization. This role entails generating monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses, adhering to both GAAP and Proforma standards. Additionally, the analyst will provide monthly analytics for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), prepare lender reporting packages, and evaluate financial data to identify trends and offer insights that align with the organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the financial drivers influencing the P&L.
  • Produce accurate and timely financial reports for management and stakeholders, presenting information clearly to aid decision-making.
  • Maintain monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including expense schedules that compare actual results against planned figures. Conduct variance analyses to pinpoint discrepancies and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring efficient information flow between functional business lines while enhancing the quality of planning data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business decisions, providing financial insights for evaluating investments and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Refine forecasting methodologies across all business functions, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals.
  • Construct detailed financial models to support project initiatives related to capital structure and process enhancements.
  • Facilitate recurring external reporting for lenders and investors.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting capabilities, implementing enhancements to streamline analysis and reporting.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations summarizing financial results.
  • Ensure a consistent approach to quality control and uncovering key insights.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and related products.
  • Able to manage workload in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, lender reporting, and detailed financial analysis, with progressively senior roles in FP&A or similar fields.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and experience with Proforma reporting.
  • Prior experience with NetSuite and Adaptive is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with leaders across the organization.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills; strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA, CMA, or other certifications are preferred.
  • Experience in a growing technology or eLearning SaaS organization is advantageous.
  • Ability to work for extended periods at a desk and on a computer.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds may be required.
