As an ISP Installation Technician / Engineer, the candidate is expected to contribute to the planning and development of coaxial, copper, and fiber optic telecommunications infrastructure, which includes creating layouts, choosing appropriate hardware, and implementing equipment within distinct network setups and configurations.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undertake advanced engineering duties to bolster the assigned division/project.
  • Liaise with team members, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate the assigned division/project.
  • Compile and submit daily reports to document daily work progress.
  • Manage and preserve project-related documents and data, which includes receiving, categorizing, filing, and maintaining them; also entails reading, deciphering, entering, and examining data mining data.
  • Work on one or more projects as a project team member, potentially as a project team lead.
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of related work experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience with telecommunications network structure
  • Experience maintaining a fiber network
  • Skilled in handling various cabling tasks, including testing, laying, identifying faults, and splicing cables
  • Willingness to learn the design of coax, copper, and fiber optic telecommunications facilities
  • Basic IT skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with design software such as ArcGIS and/or CAD is highly preferred
  • Relevant certifications in telecommunications or network management (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, NEC compliance)
  • Advanced knowledge of RF and IP technologies
