Salary: $27.54 per hour plus $4.57 for Health & Welfare

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • At least 3 years of experience in OSP/ISP cable maintenance.
  • Extensive knowledge in Telephone Inside Plant services, including the upkeep and servicing of related switches, servers, and peripheral devices, as well as installation and maintenance of copper and fiber optic cabling.
  • CompTia Security+ certification is mandatory.
  • Must possess an active/recent U.S. government security clearance (within the last 24 months).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient troubleshooting skills in switch and server environments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on ISP cable infrastructures, encompassing switches, servers, and related cabling.
  • Ensure reliable and uninterrupted telephone communication by proactively detecting issues.
  • Utilize electronic testing equipment to diagnose problems effectively.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is frequently required to:

  • Stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb.
  • Lift and transport items weighing over 50 pounds.
  • Meet specific vision requirements: close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, along with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Perform tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Travel between work sites as necessary.
