This role entails overseeing the correct installation, operation, and upkeep of fire alarm systems. The Supervisor will guide a team in the field, ensuring effective installation, testing, troubleshooting, and necessary repairs of fire alarm and life safety systems and their components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute installation or upgrades of fire alarm systems in both commercial and residential settings.
- Assess and rectify existing alarm systems.
- Conduct inspections to confirm compliance with safety codes.
- Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, noting any discrepancies.
- Accurately report on completed work in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with building engineers and property management upon project commencement.
- Ensure the integrity of all work before integrating with the building's fire alarm system, including functionality tests and circuit checks.
- Address repairs as necessary to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
- Regularly inspect and maintain the service vehicle and equipment, submitting repair requests as needed.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with both commercial and residential fire alarm systems.
- Ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Must possess a clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of relevant principles, practices, codes, and regulations.
- NICET certification is preferred, requiring prior experience or training.
- Familiarity with NFPA standards is advantageous.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Comply with the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- The role necessitates regular standing, walking, and the use of hands for various tasks, along with occasional lifting of heavy objects.
- Essential physical abilities include balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, and visual acuity.
