Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • At least 3 years of experience in OSP/ISP cable maintenance.
  • Proficient in Telephone Inside Plant services, including the upkeep and operation of switches, servers, and related components, as well as installation and maintenance of copper and fiber optic cabling.
  • CompTia Security+ certification is required.
  • Must possess an active or recent U.S. government security clearance (within the last 24 months).

Preferred Skills:

  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting switches and servers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on ISP cable facilities, encompassing switches, servers, and related cabling.
  • Ensure reliable and continuous operation of telecommunications by proactively diagnosing issues.
  • Utilize electronic testing equipment to identify problems effectively.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb.
  • Lift and carry items weighing over 50 pounds.
  • Meet specific vision requirements, including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work in various weather conditions.
  • Travel between work sites as necessary.
