Business Development Manager

You will continue to develop, adapt and execute effective ongoing strategies to maximize sales through building out Schneider's channels to market across wholesale and retail outlets, as well as, ecommerce channels to market through the same wholesale and retail partners and Schneider ecommerce platforms as well.
The successful candidate will also play an integral role in
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Drive national sales force and channel management team to adopt and drive selling and sales of wiring device portfolio as a everyday part of their sales responsibilities targeting specifically:
- Residential Sales Engineers
- Territory Sales Engineers
- Area Channel Managers
- Develop, adapt and implement sales strategies and tools to arm the above sales resources to achieve revenue targets and drive market penetration.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, distribution channels, and market segments specifically:
- National and regional homebuilder partners in tandem with homebuilder team
- Retail channel team to achieve in store shelf space
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
- Build technical expertise of customer service, inside sales and quotes team to confidently support and proliferate offer through project business
- Own and drive the voice of customer through cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and operations, to ensure ongoing prioritized offer development to fill gaps and displace competitors on wholesale and retail shelves and ensure successful product launches and execution.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Develop a deep understanding of the smart energy and electrical wiring device solutions market in the United States.
- Use market insights to define and refine the business strategy, including pricing, positioning, and product development.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns, product promotions, and sales tools.
- Provide input and feedback on marketing materials, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.
- Represent Schneider Electric at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to inform sales forecasting and reporting.
- Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), sales targets, and market insights.
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to support inventory planning and demand management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven track record of success in business development and sales, preferably in the electrical industry or related field.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of wiring devices and connected home devices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research and analysis.
- Results-oriented with a strong drive for achieving targets and exceeding customer expectations.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to travel as required (approximately 30% of the time).
