Functional Description:
Performs non-routine administrative and analytical tasks supporting physical security and facility operations management in one or more business support functions within the organization. Organizational area include logistics, property management, purchasing and/or security. Perform tasks relative to the control of government property assigned to the organization. Perform facilities planning activities, including coordinating the storage and movement of furniture, systems, and equipment. Act as facility physical security officer to ensure compliance with customer and government security regulations and procedures. Maintain databases, analyze data, and develop reports. Participates in special projects as required.
- Perform duties assigned as facility physical security officer. Implement security processes necessary to protect classified information, with strict adherence to NISPOM, DoDM Vol. 1-3, DODI , DoDI , and other applicable Executive Order, DoD, and NAWCAD regulations.
- Maintain compliance with the US Government security regulations and directives. Participate in compliance assessment reviews and perform self-inspections to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements. Identify deficiencies and implement corrective action.
- Maintain document and material accountability program, oversee secure storage and work spaces for customers, conduct annual inventory of accountable material. Ensures that all classified materials held by the site are compliant with the regulations governing marking, handling, controlling, removing, transporting, sanitizing, reusing, and destroying classified information and equipment containing classified information.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform physical security officer function such as reviewing and updating security logs and associated databases. Perform facility operations management by managing ticketing applications, conducting safety inspections, move equipment, and lockout / tagout equipment. May assist with shipping and receiving.
- Complete periodic facility inspection checklists.
- Manage door/safe combinations and key control program.
- Manage facility SF700, SF701, SF702, and other related security program documentation.
- Manage facility security alarms and access control systems.
- Resolve other related program Security issues.
Required Education:
BA/BS degree. Allowable substitution:
Associates Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelors Degree.
OR
Four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelors Degree.
Required Experience:
3 to 10 years of combined experience performing duties described in the functional description.
Desired Experience:
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of NISPOM, DoDM Vo . 1-3, DODI and DoDI security standards.
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of OPSEC, PERSEC, INFOSEC, and PHYSEC.
- Experience supporting SCIF operations.
