The mission of the Division of Corporation Finance (CF) is to see that investors are provided with material information in order to make informed investment decisions - both when a company initially offers its stock to the public and on a regular basis as it continues to give information to the marketplace. The Division also provides guidance to companies on SEC rules and forms and proposes new and revised rules to the Commission.

Typical duties include:

Leading a responsive and nimble organization to answer interpretive questions and provide informal advice on the financial statement requirements of the rules and forms the Division oversees. Considering whether to grant requested relief from those requirements.

Collaborating with the Division's Disclosure Review Program to enhance the effectiveness of filing review policies and procedures and individual filing review outcomes. Collaborating with other Division offices to create efficiencies wherever possible.

Supporting the Division's work to ensure that our rules and policies are current, focused, and efficient; and proposing changes to modernize rules, policies, and practices as appropriate.

Maintaining the Division's outreach and consultation efforts to inform our work to facilitate capital formation and enhance investor protection.
