Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer who specializes in product assembly. This is a hand-built product where you will be manipulating pieces and parts together to make fuses. This person will be joining a smaller team allowing for a career opportunity to help grow the business. They are looking for someone who can help edit their process to make it more efficient. The engineer should also be proficient in making adjustments to the design, such as modifying individual fixtures or layout changes, using 2D CAD drafting software. Due to the smaller size of the plant, this person will get the opportunity to be involved in multiple functions of the plant. Responsibilities include:

Develop and optimize new manufacturing processes, equipment, and fixtures

Perform process capability studies ensuring manufacturing processes are in control

Provide technical assistance for facility to assure the smooth operation of processes

Support the process training for production employees

Provide process input for new and redesigned products

Work with leadership to troubleshoot processes and equipment

Responsible for accuracy of product routing and times

Continuously improve the production floor through Lean Manufacturing methods

Manage long term capital improvement projects

Support and develop processes for facility

Travel as needed for project

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Associates Degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience

Must have CAD modeling software experience: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, etc. (Mostly 2d, some 3d design)

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions Lean Manufacturing Experience (etc. Green Belt/Black Belt)

Design for Manufacturability Experience (DFM)

Automation/PLC experience null
