THE ROLE

The Manager of Financial Operations ("Role") is an integral part of the Accounting team. You will be supporting all global accounting operations including but not limited to month end processes and annual audits and reviews, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The Role will not only produce financial reports, but also review results and provide recommendations on appropriate business actions. Critical to success is the ability to develop an understanding of the company's global operations and business processes.

The work can be carried out in a remote or hybrid environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a subject expert on the Firm's business processes and goals and ensure that the accounting function consistently supports and enhances them.
  • Be a subject expert on the day-to-day responsibilities of the accounting department and the roles and responsibilities of the department staff.
  • Participate in multi-faceted projects, partnering with other support departments to enhance and improve financial performance and data from systems.
  • Document and execute implementation of global finance and accounting processes and systems. Specifically own the data integrity of integrations between search operations and Workday as well as international sub ledgers and Workday.
  • Participate in global monthly and year-end close processes for accounting operations, and support accounts payable/receivable.
  • Responsible for regular reconciliation of global company internal reporting on customer contracts.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial information. Conduct regular reviews of financial processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, reporting requirements, and other financial laws. Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and address audit findings.
  • Support FP&A in contributing, developing and supporting the annual budgeting process in collaboration with solution leaders. Monitor and analyze monthly budget variances.
  • Lead the operations of global accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including relationship management with outsourced service providers.
  • Prepare schedules and analyses for the annual fiscal year review by the outside audit firm.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • A CPA is highly desirable.
  • 7-10 years' experience, including in a senior-level accounting/finance role.
  • Experience in a public accounting firm is desirable.
  • Proficient in the use of financial management software and ERP systems (knowledge of Workday is a strongly preferred).
  • Advanced User of Microsoft Office products particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience driving process reengineering and automation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with financial planning and forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) used in financial statement preparation, accrual accounting, and understanding of all financial statements.

  • Strong financial analytical skills including ability to drill down into root cause and understand/articulate underlying business reasons.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and comfortable working with large data sets across multiple systems and perform complex analyses and reconciliations.
  • Strong business acumen and judgment as well as understanding of relevant business environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Brings determination and motivation to excel and achieve personal and company missions and growth.
