Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage comprehensively in the monthly financial closing process, including the preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations for the Retirement and Wealth divisions.
  • Conduct variance analysis for Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet results compared to previous periods.
  • Assist in formulating and executing policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the financial operations.
  • Oversee the deferred revenue module and related amortization schedules, ensuring accurate recording and monthly reporting.
  • Manage fixed asset records and depreciation schedules, ensuring proper documentation of new acquisitions and ongoing projects.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the accounting reporting structure and general ledger.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of accounting procedures.
  • Support the compilation of financial information for internal analysis, tax reporting, and audits.
  • Provide backup support for the Payables Administrator as necessary.
  • Contribute to M&A integration efforts by developing strategies to incorporate acquired accounting processes into the existing framework.
  • Participate in key initiatives, including IPO readiness and continuous improvement of financial processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Experience with Sage/Intacct accounting software is advantageous.
