HOW YOU WILL SOAR:
The Channel Partnerships Director will report to the Head of Channel Partnerships in the Channel Partnerships Department - Health and Benefits Division. This role is responsible for developing strategic partnerships and alliances with organizations that result in partnerships and alliances which grow revenue through new sales, increased client retention, and improved client and participant satisfaction. This role will have the responsibility of developing relationships with organizations in their assigned industry channel. This individual will be responsible for developing the relationship and overseeing the profitable growth of the relationship commensurate with current goals. They will manage all business development efforts including prospecting, marketing, communications, training, and competitive analysis. This role is expected to be in market and travel to key markets will be part of the strategy. Sales and Account Management experience of 10+ years in the appropriate industry channel is required. The ideal incumbent will have a proven ability to manage extended sales cycles, grow long-term relationships and manage profitable account growth. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for developing an extensive network of contacts and relationships within their channel, for the generation of new leads, pipeline, and account growth, while researching and creating an in depth understanding of their channel, and ability to identify and create innovative partnerships.

  • Cultivate strong, productive, and influential relationships with brokers/consultants, customers, and peers focusing on larger or more complex accounts/prospects
  • Implements strategies necessary to attain sales objectives in assigned channel
  • Manage complex negotiations
  • Position products, rate levels, and expanded product portfolios to increase sales and maximize revenue
  • Manage the integration of client's and internal organizations to meet client's installation needs and close the deal
  • Identify various ways to partner with the client by drawing from entire spectrum of product line to create unique synergies and approaches with prospective partners
  • Gain understanding of client's multifaceted needs and recommends appropriate benefits of full product array
  • Promote sales through in-person and virtual client meetings and industry conferences
  • Manage the entire sales process from lead through close
  • Maintain oversight, growth, and outcomes of sold partner accounts
  • Generate cross-selling opportunities by maintaining strong working relationships with other lines of business
  • Assume responsibility for updating Salesforce, including pipeline management, for respective relationships after the initial sales contact has been completed
  • Other duties as assigned

IF YOU HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING, APPLY:

  • 15+ years of experience in business development or sales in the assigned channel
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Strong industry experience with an understanding of channel products, solutions and offerings, distribution channels, competitors, and disruptive and emerging business models
  • Demonstrated business to business sales experience
  • A proven track record of success in sales, account growth and extensive prospecting experience
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to identify and provide creative solutions, and build relationships with clients at all levels
  • Strong time management, organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources
  • Ability to leverage existing relationships in the industry
  • Excellent analytical skills with a proactive nature
  • An affinity for accuracy and efficiency
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • An aptitude for prioritization and multi-tasking
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • A drive to learn and apply new concepts quickly
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred
