In Concord, North Carolina, Lilly is constructing a new and cutting-edge pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. This plant will be one of Lilly's most technically advanced manufacturing sites and will include highly automated material flows and automated material storage and retrieval systems. The Supply Chain will be highly integrated, minimizing inventory holding, utilizing reusable/returnable containers and pallets in closed loop system design.

Position Description:
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Supply Chain and Logistics Project Manager will support the start-up of the supply chain and logistics areas during the completion of the plant construction, transitioning to new product launch, or special supply chain / logistics improvement projects over time.


Responsibilities:

Support and execute operational readiness activities for supply chain and logistics as assigned.Deliver necessary information and data about the new/ongoing projects.Execute change controls related to supply chain or logistics.Facilitates problem-solving, shared learning and decision-making across functions.Partners and leads cross functional teams to deliver project results.Establishes and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet team expectations.Escalates technical and timeline issues appropriately.Provides facilitation of meeting logistics, including scheduling, agendas, and minutes.Coordinates communication with the project team impacted or supporting the project scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.Identifies issues that may delay project deliverables and recommends risk mitigation strategies, contingencies, and actions, when appropriate.May work closely with internal departments and/or outside vendors to ensure project completion.Meet appropriate goals for SC / LOG improvements as defined by area Leadership Drives accountability for results. Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field is preferable.A minimum of 3 years of experience required, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment.Additional Skills/Preferences:Strong leadership skills.Preferably APICS and/or other SC certification Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to communicate clearly with diverse interpersonal styles and able to develop credibility cross functionally.Ability to influence others positively, negotiate effectively, and manage conflicts effectively.Ability to lead and deliver in the volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environment.Project Management Expertise, PMP preferred.Strong strategic and logical thinking skills.Strong conceptual skills.Business acumen.
