JOB DESCRIPTIONA Senior Content Operator at Fox Sports is a 'star-operator' who is responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of content creation, publishing, and scheduling across the organization's digital platforms.
Senior Content Operators report directly to the Manager of Content Operations and will play an integral role in the fulfillment of live and VOD content for FOX Sports apps and web platform. A Senior Content Operator should feel confident acting as a subject matter expert for all high-profile events that are hosted on our digital platforms. Must be comfortable serving in a deputized role to the director.
Additionally, a Senior Content Operator will have a vital role in identifying live digital events that will be provided on our digital platform and ensures all proper pre-production action items are finalized. This involves managing a content calendar, coordinating with team members, and meeting deadlines.
Overall, a Senior Content Operator at Fox Sports plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization's digital content strategy is effectively executed, driving audience engagement, and supporting the brand's overall goals.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead a team of content operators and ensure they work collaboratively and efficiently. This includes providing guidance, setting performance expectations, and monitoring their progress and communicating observations to the managerMonitor content performance and analyze data to identify trends, optimize content delivery, and inform future content strategiesDesign and maintain mission-critical trackers Reserve and apply TX media sources for content contingencies to maintain broadcast expectations and standardsManaging Program Scheduling and Listings Integration Execute a variety of live operations such as contingency, bonus and social content, and 4K eventsEstablish and enforce content policies, guidelines, and best practices to maintain brand consistency and ensure all content adheres to industry standardsApply blackout rules, regionalization, and live policies for listingsIdentify necessary keyart requests by coordinating with the digital design teamProblem solves content related issues and provides Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA) reportsHave expert knowledge on all Content Ops tools such as CMS and monitoring as well as the ability to learn new technology as the team evolves over time.WHAT YOU WILL NEEDExperience in content operations, broadcast operations, asset fulfillment, post-production, digital supply chain, and digital mediaBachelor's degreeMust be able to provide flexible work availability, including nights, weekends, and holidaysExperience with content management systems, content policies, and editorial workflowsAbility to communicate well in both small and large groupsPassion for TV (Sports, News, Entertainment)NICE OT HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKERBachelor's degree in communications, TV/Film, Business ManagementExperience working with technology leveraging cloud infrastructureExperience analyzing video metrics such as Adobe Marketing Cloud, Conviva QoS, etcExperience in various video delivery systems, live streaming, or VODExperience working with web formats: XML, HTML, RSS, JSONExperience working with sporting leagues (NFL/MLB/MLS/etc.)SCHEDULE/SHIFTTypically, normal weekday business hours but must be flexible to cover weekends, nights, and holidays at times NOTE: Fox Behavioral Skills/Competencies: Dependability, Initiative, Teamwork, Personal Integrity, Professionalism; Fox Leadership Skill/Competencies: Sets Clear Goals, Seeks Collaborative Solutions, Delivers Constructive Feedback, Leadership Integrity and Compliance #Ll-DM1 Learn more about Fox Tech at #foxtechWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
