Brief Job Overview

This is a hands-on non-supervisory position responsible for monitoring, auditing, and maintaining finish goods Reference Standards for USP. The incumbent in this role will design and maintain the inventory storage setup of USPs finished goods Reference Standards in a manner that meets the storage requirements of the Reference Standards as determined.

The Inventory Control Specialist has the following responsibilities:

Conducts daily cycle counts of finished goods inventory.

Identifies and physically moves finished goods items to be transferred between locations ensuring proper balancing of inventory within all locations.

Ensures inventory is transferred between remote locations using the company vehicle and are properly stored and readily available.

Ensure inventory accuracy including adjusting inventory for breakage and obsolete items as needed.

Coordinates the return of Recalled products, reporting to QA the customers who have returned product and properly disposing of said recalled products.

Identify, upload, and update locations in system and completes inventory transfers.

Works with the Accounting Department to conduct the annual inventory counts conducted by USPs outside CPA firm.

Responsible for Monitoring and coordinating hazardous waste for Distribution.

Ensures Return orders are properly received and processed in Oracle (RMAS).

Assists with preparation of customer shipments to ensure they are packaged in compliance with of IATA, DOT, and other regulatory agencies.

Supports the Inventory Team Lead to ensure department metrics are met.

Performs other duties as assigned when needed.

Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma.

Must have at least 3-year experience in a warehouse distribution environment.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Must be able to drive a company vehicle between facilities.

Additional Desired Preferences

They will also possess a high level of attention to detail, organization skills, and time management.

Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers necessary.

Sense of urgency and sound judgment needed.

Knowledge of DOT and IATA shipping guidelines preferred.

Forklift and electric pallet jack certification.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.
