Role: Cocktail Specialist

The Cocktail Specialist is responsible for crafting a diverse range of beverages, showcasing a deep enthusiasm for mixology by developing innovative cocktails and unique drink recipes for our patrons. This role demands exceptional customer service abilities and the skill to engage with guests in a welcoming manner. A comprehensive understanding of alcoholic beverages and contemporary cocktail trends is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mentor and train fellow bartenders.
• Engage with guests, taking orders for drinks and light snacks.
• Design and present the bar menu.
• Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol sales.
• Blend ingredients to create cocktails and other beverages as requested, adhering to standard drink recipes.
• Serve wine and beer to guests.
• Arrange bottles and glassware to create visually appealing displays.
• Assess customer preferences and provide tailored recommendations.
• Utilize sales techniques to encourage upselling and suggestive selling.
• Deliver service to customers in a friendly and accommodating manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area at all times.
• Recognize when a guest has consumed enough alcohol and, if necessary, politely refuse further service.
• Manage liquor inventory and track consumption.
• Coordinate beverage orders with the storeroom staff.
• Process payments for drinks served and reconcile all receipts.
• Handle an assigned cash bank and adhere to all cash handling protocols.
• Prepare inventory or purchase requests as needed to replenish supplies.
• Focus on guest satisfaction and foster an exceptional experience.
• Comply with all relevant food and beverage regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by hotel management.

Position Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• A minimum of three years of experience in bartending or mixology.
• Bartending certification is preferred.
• TIPS certification is a plus.
• Food sanitation certification is advantageous and must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Work Environment:

• Work hours may vary and can include weekends and holidays.
• This position requires prolonged standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, as well as bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
