Specialized Solution Sales, IoT & Engineering - Automotive

We are seeking a consultative problem-solver to drive our Service Line sales within our IoT & Engineering practice, which primarily focuses on IoT and ER&D businesses within Cognizant.

We are looking for a sales leader with deep expertise in engineering domains in the Automotive industry across industries across Software-Defined Vehicles, Product Development IT (PLM/ALM), Product Engineering, Industry 4.0 in senior roles, and experience in driving revenue growth in this space working with Fortune500 organizations. The role requires collaboration with global teams.

You should have some consulting experience, thought leadership, relationship management, sales quota attainment, collaboration skills, and excellence in achieving both annual revenue and profitability targets.

You will manage a portfolio of Automotive accounts for revenue growth, new business identification, and conversion, establish and lead relationships with client stakeholders, and run financial and demand forecasts for your portfolio. You will be in a true P&L role – responsible for revenue and total contract value growth in IoT & Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create growth strategy and plan for pipeline generation for offerings across Software-Defined Vehicles, Verification and Validation, Autonomous Driving, Industry 4.0, Fleet Management, etc.
  • Manage key client and Cognizant stakeholders for the set of accounts assigned
  • Manage the account plan in consultation with the client partner, investing time in strengthening existing client relationships and new strategic clients
  • Work with Delivery Teams to validate the cost and scope of solutions
  • Lead proactive proposals and RFP in line with account strategy
  • Partner with internal leaders for solution creation and execution
  • Responsible for sales, business development, and customer relationship building
  • Achieve annual revenue and total contract value (booking) targets
  • Work in a matrixed organization, responsible for prospecting and other sales management goals designed
  • Collaborate with industry vertical teams, developing strong, long-term relationships with executives
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Around 12 to 15 years of proven track record in business growth/sales roles in the Automotive sector
  • Excellent ability and aptitude to influence and communicate effectively with business stakeholders up to the C-Suite
  • Work with an ecosystem of partnerships (hyperscalers, boutique technology companies, etc.)
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to find technical solutions to business problems and engage the potential customer with "consultative selling" is essential
  • Ability to interface at all levels of an organization

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and executive presentation and persuasion skills are required
  • Knowledge of the industry trends, customer pain points, and potential opportunities in various IoT and engineering areas are highly desirable
