Position Overview:

As a Senior Developer/Team Lead for Strategic Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and maintaining critical applications such as RTP. This position supports the migration to cloud-based computing and involves new development, maintenance, and troubleshooting for various strategic products. You will lead efforts in resolving complex production issues and contribute to infrastructure upgrades and testing.

Responsibilities:
  • Enhance and maintain RTP and other strategic applications.
  • Lead the migration to cloud-based environments.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis for Level 3 and Level 4 production issues.
  • Support release implementations and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Provide training to production support teams.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT, including software analysis, design, development, implementation, and testing.
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring, J2EE App servers, and UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Strong understanding of secure development practices.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Sound knowledge of RDBMS concepts and SQL for troubleshooting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively within a team.
Desired:
  • Experience in banking technology, particularly in money transfer systems.
  • Familiarity with IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ, or DB2.
  • Knowledge of Software Reliability Engineering, test automation, and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub, Maven, Jenkins).
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Familiarity with functional programming languages like Erlang, Haskell, or Scala.
