Job Description
Ready to make a difference? BAE Systems is looking for a systems engineer experienced in modeling and simulation environments to develop, build, and work on the world's most advanced electromagnetic spectrum operations systems - detecting, identifying, locating, and countering threats for joint forces and international aircrew. We develop highly sophisticated digital Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems and we are looking for motivated systems engineer to join cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams developing and supporting next generation Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems. This full-time role includes "start to finish" Digital Modeling of multiple Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems of present and future platforms, simulating target environment simulations including a strong role in hybrid Digital Modeling injection into program(s) EW System hardware for crucial cost/schedule reduction from concept to deployment in the combat arena.
Responsibilities include integration and test software development through requirements development, and system architecture, supporting program technical interchange meetings, integration, and test meetings, as well as establishing RF Test Software development priorities. Must be willing to travel to support customer integration of test tools. Responsibilities also include performing technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation, evaluating alternatives including cost, risk, supportability, and analyses for total systems. Total system product is end-to-end that include concept, design, implementation, test, installation, operation, and maintenance. The candidate should ensure logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions and be able to translate customer requirements into hardware/software specifications.
Work location can be Nashua NH, Manchester NH, or Burlington MA. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience in a relevant field) with a minimum work experience of:
    • 6+ Years with BS
    • 4+ Years with MS
    • 2+ Year with PHD
  • 5 years experience with C / C++ / C#,
  • Experience with Windows and Linux Development Environments,
  • Experience with Containerized SW Code Deployment,
  • Experience with Embedded SW Development,
  • Experience with Version Control, Configuration Management and Issue Tracking tools (such as Bitbucket / GitLab / GitHub / Jira),
  • Experience with development of Electronic Warfare, RADAR, Communications, Kinematics, and/or Missile Systems Experience with EW and/or Radar and Missile Systems,
  • Preferred Active US Government security clearance (with ability to possess Top Secret).

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience with AFSIM Mission Model
  • Experience with MATLAB
  • Use of Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Phase Network Analyzer, Power Meters, etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate RF concepts including antenna patterns, environmental effects, radar range, frequency, spur, harmonics, etc.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $215270
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
