Key Responsibilities

As a Mid-Level Requirements Engineer, you will utilize a multidisciplinary approach to requirements engineering, solutions development, scheduling, reliability, and integration across various national and allied geospatial intelligence systems. Your role is critical in ensuring the timely and precise delivery of GEOINT services.

Core Duties:
  • Perform requirements engineering and solutions development across national and allied geospatial intelligence systems.
  • Engage in planning and analysis of user requirements, system architectures, and workflows to enhance existing systems and evaluate cloud service capabilities.
  • Design solutions based on thorough analysis of requirements and emerging technologies, while mentoring junior engineers in these areas.
  • Assist in capturing and translating mission and customer needs into actionable systems and capability requirements.
  • Support the allocation of requirements to system architecture components and program execution.
  • Facilitate systems integration activities in collaboration with government entities.
  • Contribute to Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
  • Support strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related technical field such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, or Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant technical experience is required. Experience as a Requirements Engineer may substitute for a degree.
  • 6 years of experience in government or industry related to DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, or system engineering of complex systems.
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or the ability to obtain clearance and pass a polygraph examination.
Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering methodologies, tools, and languages.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
  • INCOSE Associate System Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification.
  • Experience in geospatial intelligence.
  • Active participation in professional organizations such as ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, or USGIF.
  • Understanding of photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, and geographic information systems.
  • Knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.

The typical salary range for this position is $112,000 - $179,000, based on experience and other relevant factors.
