The Senior Requirements Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in steering engineering teams towards a comprehensive methodology in requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, testing and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis within the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG), and various Federal Agencies to guarantee precise and timely GEOINT delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentors Mid-level and Junior system engineers in executing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, testing and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis within the NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies.
- Oversees the planning and traceability of user requirements, architectural frameworks, procedures, and challenges to enhance existing systems and assess cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling constraints.
- Guides Mid-level and Junior engineers in crafting solution designs informed by requirement analyses and emerging technologies.
- Collaborates with the Government to capture and convert mission and customer needs into systems and capability requirements and solutions.
- Facilitates the analysis and distribution of requirements to systems architecture components and ongoing programs.
- Assists the Government in conducting systems integration tasks.
- Performs Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Evaluations.
- Supports the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
- Engages in the integration of multiple systems, services, processes, and interfaces within Major Systems Acquisitions across various organizational and agency boundaries.

Required Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or related technical/scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree program.
- A minimum of 12 years of technical experience is essential. If the 12 years of experience is specifically in Requirements-focused Systems Engineering, it may substitute for a degree.
- 12 years of relevant experience in government or industry, particularly in areas such as DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process, or system engineering of large complex Systems of Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
- Proficient understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle.
- Possession of TS/SCI clearance adjudication or the ability to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph examination.
- A Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related technical/scientific fields.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering, including processes, tools, and languages.
- Knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
- INCOSE Certified System Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
- Documented experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
- Licensure as a professional engineer.
- Active participation or leadership in professional organizations such as ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, or USGIF.
- Expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related disciplines.
- In-depth knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
