Key Responsibilities

As a Mid-Level Requirements Engineer, you will utilize a comprehensive approach to requirements engineering, solutions development, scheduling, reliability, and integration within the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG) and related agencies to ensure precise and timely GEOINT delivery.

Core Duties Include:
  • Executing requirements engineering and solutions development across NSG and associated federal entities.
  • Planning and analyzing user requirements, system architectures, and operational challenges to enhance existing systems and evaluate cloud service functionalities.
  • Creating solution designs informed by requirement analyses and emerging technologies while mentoring junior engineers in these competencies.
  • Collaborating with government representatives to capture and translate mission and customer needs into effective systems and capability requirements.
  • Facilitating the analysis and allocation of requirements to system architecture components and executing programs.
  • Supporting systems integration activities in partnership with government stakeholders.
  • Contributing to Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
  • Assisting in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or related technical fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, or Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant technical experience is required; this may include experience as a Requirements Engineer in lieu of a degree.
  • 6 years of experience in government or industry in areas such as DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, or system engineering of complex systems.
  • Possession of TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain it and pass a polygraph examination.
Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering methodologies, tools, and languages.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
  • INCOSE Associate System Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification.
  • Experience in geospatial intelligence.
  • Active participation in professional organizations such as ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, or USGIF.
  • Understanding of photogrammetry, remote sensing, geographic information systems, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
