Program Manager, In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI)

Launched in 2023, Integrated Services creates and markets new customer experiences by integrating hardware, software and services across Ford Blue, Model e and Ford Pro. These products and services allow Ford's retail and commercial customers to customize their vehicles like never before with OTA (over-the-air)-driven experiences that grow better over time. What you'll do...

Within the In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) Product Management team, there is a significant volume of project management responsibilities that require attention. This role aims to alleviate the burden on Product Managers by handling these tasks, thereby allowing them more time to engage directly with customers and focus on delivering exceptional products. We require a program manager that would track and plan the demand across our team. Furthermore, this position will take ownership of our Jira and project tracking tools, creating comprehensive dashboards to gauge the effectiveness of our product team, and meticulously monitoring key objectives and outcomes from inception to completion.

Project Management

  • Support project management activities for the IVI Product team
  • Coordinate and track IVI project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Facilitate adherence to project management methodologies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent project delivery in support of IVI and Integrated Services goals
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify project requirements, scope and objectives
  • Be an advocate for agile adoption across IVI to enable customer centricity and speed to market
  • Support all Product Managers on IVI to effectively plan and manage complex, cross-functional digital and offline projects from the initial ideation phase through final execution and sustainability

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, business, and marketing to gather feedback and align product priorities to ensure project success.
  • Develop streamlined communication and feedback channels for IVI to ensure transparency, awareness, knowledge, adoption and recognition of product priorities
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans and documentation
  • Increase consistency and efficacy across teams, aligning to workforce strategy and business priorities
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders

Metrics, KPIs & Continuous Improvement

  • Support in tracking product metrics and project success, identifying areas that need attention
  • Create and map PI plans across each of the IVI platforms, and support Platform Product Managers with roadmap management
  • Curate dashboards within Jira or other tools to showcase and track progress towards product goals and deliverables
  • Own and drive changes within the IVI Jira project, intaking improvement ideas and tracking idea progression
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the IVI product team

This position is remote unless the candidate lives within 50 miles of one of the offices then it will be hybrid.

  • Enable Product Managers to Focus on Core Responsibilities: Alleviate the project management burden on Product Managers so they can focus on strategic product development and customer engagement.
  • Enhance Project Coordination: Streamline project management processes to ensure timely delivery and high-quality output.
  • Improve Communication Channels: Establish and maintain effective communication channels with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Optimize Metrics and KPIs: Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports to track and measure team operational performance and success.
  • Foster Continuous Improvement: Implement and advocate for continuous improvement practices within the team to drive innovation and efficiency.

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of education and equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experiences contributing to organizational process improvements, changes, and innovation Experience managing complex
  • 1+ years of Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with autonomy in an unstructured environment
  • 1+ years of experience with the creation of dashboards to track project performance
