Customs and Border Protection, Air and Marine Operations' (AMO) Training, Safety, and Standards Directorate as a Program Manager responsible for the oversight of AMO's training contract activities.

To successfully execute the duties of these positions, candidates shall possess a current Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Federal Acquisition Certification (FAC) Level II/III or demonstrate expertise in contracting and procurement activities and functions.

This position starts at a salary of $103, GS-13, Step 1) to $134, GS-13, Step 10).

If the selected incumbent does not possess a current FAC Certification, they will be required to complete FAC training to the certification level required for the contract they are assigned to manage.

As a Program Manager serving in the role of COR, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Contracting Officer as a technical expert to provide advice regarding the quality and timeliness of the work performed.

Duties include assisting the Contracting Officer with monitoring the prime contractor's performance.

This entails ensuring all technical requirements under the contract are met and that products/services are delivered by the delivery date and/or period of performance within the estimated cost stipulated in the contract.


Additional duties to the contract include:

  • Performing surveillance/inspection and acceptance.
  • Monitoring activities/cost.
  • Providing input to contractor performance evaluations and notifications to the Contracting Officer.
  • Making recommendations for invoices and payments.
  • Managing Government Furnished Assets (when required).
  • Managing Contractor Employee Access (when required). Qualifications Experience:

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
